Juan Carlos Muñoz

Juan Carlos holds a Civil Electronic Engineer Degree from the University of Concepción (1993), where he also served as a President of the Branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he was a Sloan Fellow. At MIT he specialized in Entrepreneurial Finance and Innovation models.

He is a founding member and was a President of ChileGlobal Angels. To date, he is a Business Director and angel investor in several Start Up projects such as Solar Chile, sold to First Solar, mRisk, Miniclinic, Junar, Green Pacific Biologicals as well as founding partner of companies such as ETICSA where he is Executive Director, Network Value , SPG (Global Professional Services). He was the CEO of Chile-IT and Director in Correos de Chile and MTS.

In his career of more than 20 years as an entrepreneur, he has founded several companies in sectors of IT and Communications in Chile, Argentina, Peru and the United States. For his management as an entrepreneur, he received a distinction of Young Entrepreneur of the Year by El Mercurio Journal.

He has actively participated as a Director of ACTI, the Association of Information Technology Companies, being elected in several periods and is an Endeavor Volunteer since 2011.
