Wolf Schuch

Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and Bachelors Degree in Genetics from the University of Tübingen in Germany. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to technology and the development of intellectual property and the introduction of innovative products into large international corporations or small businesses.

He recently left Fraunhofer Chile Research, the Center of Excellence in Biotechnology established by Corfo, where he was Executive Director and General Manager during the last 5 years. Prior to this, he ran his own biotech consulting firm, was a chairman of the Board of the Plant Biotechnology Association of British Columbia, Canada, and co-founded a green biotechnological engineering company. He held managerial positions in a forest biotechnology company. He was a Senior Manager of Sciences for the technological development in Syngenta and its predecessor companies, where he was responsible for the technological development and the taking of ideas from basic research to the market.

He has raised more than $ 75 million in research funding from public and private organizations and has been an active investor in a range of technology start-ups. In addition, he has published more than 95 articles in peer-reviewed journals and more than 50 articles in books and other forms of communication.
