Pedro Prieto-Hontoria

PhD in food science, physiology and health from Universidad de Navarra (Spain), European Master in nutrition and metabolism (E-MENU) from the same institution. Graduated in science and food technology and nutritionist from Universidad San Pablo CEU, Madrid (Spain).

He has over 10 years of experience researching healthy diets, nutrigenomics and food innovation. Knowledgeable about different markets and international trends thanks to his studies, having done consultancy work for different companies and a large number of presentations in countries such as Spain, France, Italy, Ecuador, Perú, Argentina and Chile. He obtained several awards and recognitions including the I Premio Alimento Imaginario and FAO Spokesperson for the International Year of Pulses in 2016, among others.

He currently serves as innovation manager of Fresh Business Peru where innovation, marketing, branding and business models around new healthy and convenient foods are part of his daily tasks in order to add value to the biodiversity of Latin America.
