Fundación Chile (FCh) has been a pioneering institution throughout its 40 years of history, taking risks while building industries from scratch and creating companies in various economic activities, focusing on the competitive advantages of the country, for the development of its economy.
Through its different models, FCh has created more than 66 early-stage companies that have made a profit, investing a total of USD100 million.
Four different models can be distinguished in Fundación Chile’s history of entrepreneurship and venture capital:
One of the most active networks of angel investors in Latin America and the longest-running in Chile. It operates under the smart money concept, offering not only capital but also the experience of investors for more mature companies or at a scaling stage.
Entity to support startups which through financing and an acceleration program provides connections, mentoring, knowledge, resources and support to help companies reach the next level.

Earlier in 2018 ChileGlobal Ventures, Fundación Chile’s venture capital platform, launched its second investment fund, along with major contributors: Corfo, Entel, Zoma Capital, Engie Factory and Fundación Chile. CLIN focuses on the major challenges that Chile faces in terms of sustainability and productivity, sectors where Fundación Chile and its contributors are referents – particularly in the areas of energy, water, mining, smart cities, big data and Internet of Things (IoT).
